Brad Marchand will represent Canada at the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off and he sent a warning about the level of intensity that will be displayed on the ice.

It's been years since hockey fans go to see best-on-best action, but the wait is almost over. In just over a month, the NHL 4-Nation Face-Off will go down in Montreal, a tournament featuring the best players in the league.

Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, Sidney Crosby, and all the other NHL superstars will meet on the ice for what is poised to become a historic event in the sport.

Among the players who'll be wearing the maple leaf is the Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand.

In a recent press conference, he was asked to comment on what level he'll bring to the ice.

He stated that he and all the other players will be "out for blood":

"Guys are going to be out for blood."

Considered to be one of the most engaged and determined players in the NHL, Marchand will try to shake things up to help his country win.

He knows that the competition will be fierce, and acknowledged that the four teams are very talented in another comment:

"You look at the teams that are match up and they're all stacked. You can pick out of a hat who can win that tournament. They're all incredible groups."

Finally, he talked about his expectations going into the tournament, and revealed that he wants to make his country and his team proud:

"Extremely high expectations. You want to make your country and your team proud."

Fans can expect Marchand to compete at the highest of his capabilities at the tournament.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when he meets his Bruins teammates Charlie McAvoy, Jeremy Swayman, and Elias Lindholm on the ice.
