Nikita Dynyak caused a funny scene in the KHL after his cell phone fell onto the ice while he was playing a game.

You would think no professional hockey player would need to be reminded of this, but leave your cell phone in the locker room when you're playing a game.

27-year-old Nikita Dynyak caused a funny scene in the KHL today after his cell phone fell out of his equipment while his team Kazan Ak-Bars took on Avangard.

Nikita Dynyak didn't seem to notice what had happened. An official picked up the phone and took it over to the Ak-Bars bench to try and figure out who owned it. Dynyak eventually realized it was his.

Dynyak has spent his entire professional hockey-playing career in Russia, and has been with Kazan Ak-Bars for the past five seasons.

He was involved in another interesting incident back in 2021 when he and Karlis Cukste squared off in a fight, which ended quickly with the rarely seen double one punch knockdown.

Dynyak enjoys dropping the gloves, and recently had a run-in with former NHLer Tony DeAngelo, who is now playing for SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL.

There's been no word on why, exactly, that Dynyak had a cell phone on him while on the ice during a game. If it didn't get broken during the fall, he's a very lucky guy.
