The Edmonton Oilers announced on Saturday that they've re-signed forward Warren Foegele to a three-year contract worth $8.25 million ($2.75 million AAV). Foegele was traded to Edmonton from the Carolina Hurricanes earlier this week in exchange for defenceman Ethan Bear.

The Markham, Ontario native played the last three seasons with the Hurricanes where he tallied 68 points (35 G, 33 A), 74 penalty minutes, and was a -1 in 200 regular season games.

Foegele, 25, is projected to slot in on the third line for the Oilers along with Ryan McLeod and Josh Archibald according to DailyFaceoff.
