Reports earlier surfaced of a rift between Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, and now, the Bruins social media team has responded as well.

Friday has been an incredibly chaotic day for the Boston Bruins organization, with a report claiming that stars Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak no longer want to play together, sparking major trade rumours.

However, the team and the players have been quick to respond, with David Pastrnak himself noting that there is no truth involved with this report, as he has simply never asked to be taken off a line with his captain.

«I've never in my life said I don't want to play with this guy to the coaching staff or management and I never would. I love playing with Marchy. I've been playing with him for so long.»

On top of that, Marchand has stated that the two are 'best friends' and have no intentions of not playing together, but with all of this drama and his pending free agency in the summer, anything could happen.

Now, another response has come, this time from the Boston Bruins social media team, who took to X just hours after the report with several photos of the two stars that show them clearly on the same page with the caption "looking forward".

While this could simply be the team looking to stick together during a tough time, there may still be some truth behind the report, with something clearly wrong in Boston as they've dropped six straight games after a recent loss to Tampa Bay.

Ultimately though, it appears as though everything is good between the two, who remain the Bruins highest scoring players in 2024/25, but if the losses continue to mount, GM Don Sweeney may be forced to make a major deal at some point before the March 7 trade deadline.
