Late Saturday night, Evander Kane's ex-wife, Anna, took to her social media with some serious accusations towards the San Jose Sharks forward, claiming he has been gambling on his own NHL games as well as the fact he hasn't seen his daughter in a long stretch of time and left them with no money to support themselves.

While most were quick to judge Kane, who had to file bankruptcy early in the 2020-21 season due to debt from gambling, his former teammate in Robin Lehner chose to stick up for him.

«It's funny how everything has become guilty until proven innocent and only listen to one side,» the goaltender posted on his Twitter feed. «We gone really fast through something really hard for a human being to judge once again. I don't know the facts and we will find out in due time.

«I've played with Evander and I've seen faults like I had as well and how he has handled himself in the public eye this year while dealing with it has been something I understand how hard it's been from him and takes strength.»

Lehner continued on to post that while he has been around Kane while gambling, he has never seen him bet on NHL games and hopes that the accusations prove to be false. The NHL has put out a statement that they will be investigating the claims made by Anna, so we should find out in due time whether or not Kane is guilty of this act. If so, his NHL career could be in serious jeopardy.
