It's been a tough week for Marc-Andre Fleury. Last Tuesday, he was traded from Vegas to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a prospect. The 36-year-old netminder wanted to remain with the Golden Knights for the rest of his career, so being dealt was heartbreaking for him, not only was he upset about being traded, Fleury reportedly found out over Twitter rather than from Vegas' front office.

After spending the past week mulling over his playing future, even contemplating retirement, the Sorel, Quebec native has agreed to play for the Blackhawks for the 2021-22 season according to Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff.

The former first overall pick had an excellent season with the Golden Knights, one that saw him win his first career Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender. In 36 games, Fleury had a record of 26-10-0 with a 1.98 G.A.A., a .928 save percentage, and six shutouts.

Today's news regarding Fleury likely has Blackhawks fans and management excited. Chicago is going to be an exciting team to watch next season. Jonathan Toews will be back, Kirby Dach will be 100%, they've added Seth Jones, Caleb Jones, Jake McCabe, Tyler Johnson, and Marc-Andre Fleury.
