The Minnesota Wild are shopping forward Ryan Donato and veteran goaltender Devan Dubnyk, and the San Jose Sharks are one of the teams interested in the pair, according to Micheal Russo of The Athletic.

Donato, a 2014 second-round pick, was acquired by the Wild via trade with the Boston Bruins in February 2019 and instantly found success with his new club, registering 16 points (4 goals, 12 assists) in 22 games. Unfortunately for Donato, he couldn't carry his success over into this season and only put up 23 points (14 goals, 9 assists) in 62 games while playing on the Wild's fourth line.

The 24-year-old could benefit from a fresh start in San Jose, and he could be a key player for the Sharks as they look to bounce back from a disappointing 2019-20 campaign where they finished last in the Western Conference with 63 points.

According to Russo, the Wild are also actively shopping Devan Dubnyk, and the Sharks are a team that has shown interest in the 34-year-old netminder.

Dubnyk posted a 12-15-2 record this season to go along with a 3.35 GAA and .890 Sv%.

Although his age and recent struggles may be a bit of a red flag for many teams, he could be a great option for a struggling San Jose team looking to get back to the top of the standings, especially if he can return to his Vezina candidate form.
