Things are tough for the Bruins, who could very well become sellers for the first time in recent memory at the Trade Deadline based on comments from David Pastrnak.

The Boston Bruins have been anything but consistent this year, and while it would be a bizarre sight to see, it remains a possibility that they could miss the playoffs for the first time since 2015.

They hardly resemble the juggernaut that won an NHL-record 65 regular season games just 2 years ago, and don't look much like last year's solid team that defeated their divisional foe Toronto Maple Leafs in the opening round of the postseason after a solid season.

Sniper David Pastrnak seems to know that the writing is on the wall for potential major changes and appeared to hint he knows that some uncomfortable changes could be on the way.

Our job is to focus on hockey and winning hockey games for this club. We are the players and management is management. They do their jobs, and we're doing ours.

These times around the trade deadline are never fun. That's the business side of it. Every guy can talk about how much he wants (to stay), but it's always back in your head. But, this is the job we have. It's always the same around the trade deadline.

Like every other player, Pastrnak is a human with feelings - but is determined not to let the personal side of the game and the relationships he forges with his teammates to cloud his mind from the business at hand.

Those last couple of weeks, you can be in your head a little bit. But again, it's up to us players to focus when we have a game to throw these things behind, and then focus on winning hockey games and don't focus on what's going to happen after the game. Just stay in the moment.

Pastrnak has 72 points (30G, 42A) in 59 games this year.
