Nashville Predators general manager David Poile announced on Tuesday that the team has signed goaltender Devin Cooley to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Cooley, 23, has spent the last three seasons playing for the University of Denver, where he posted a combined 1.93 goals against average (GAA) and a .927 save percentage (SV%). This past season, the 23-year-old was limited to just nine games and posted a 2.08 GAA along with a .908 SV%.

After playing in just three games during his first season with the team, he broke out during his sophomore campaign with a 1.85 GAA and a .934 SV% in 20 games played. Those numbers were good enough for him to split the team's MVP award with goaltending partner Filip Larsson.

The undrafted goaltender spent time in the USHL, NAHL, and the BCHL prior to playing for the University of Denver. While his junior hockey numbers don't look overly impressive, it is clear he has improved in a major way over the last three seasons.
