During a game against the OHL's Owen Sound, top Anaheim Ducks prospect and Erie Otters captain Carey Terrance had to be rushed to the hospital following a scary injury.

Carey Terrance is a promising young forward in the OHL, making his first appearance in the 2021-22 season with the Erie Otters.

He quickly became a standout player on the team, going on to win gold in the 2023 IIHF Under-18 World Championship.

The same year, the 6'1 left-shooting center was selected 53rd overall in the NHL Draft, getting claimed by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round.

The 19-year-old forward has scored 89 goals and tallied 162 total points in 230 games with the Erie Otters in the OHL.

Now, Terrance is officially a 2025 IIHF World Junior Gold Medalist, scoring two goals in seven games for Team USA.

However, amidst the OHL regular season, the Erie Otters captain got caught in a very scary situation.

During a game against the Owen Sound, Terrance crashed into the end boards, causing him to leave from the game.

Though the resulting pain required him to be stretchered out, he was fully responsive and had movements in his extremities and is thus expected to have avoided serious injury.

Without their captain there, the Erie Otters lost to the Owen Sound Attack 8-5.

With their rematch game scheduled for Saturday, February 15th against it is unlikely he will be available to reverse their fortune.

Hopefully, whatever his ailment proves to be, will not hurt his future potential in the NHL.
