Three Eastern Conference teams ''in a battle'' for Vladimir Tarasenko

The Vladimir Tarasenko sweepstakes are heating up and according to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, and New York Rangers are "in a battle" for the Russian sniper.

"It sounds like there's progress in this particular process trying to get Tarasenko out of St. Louis and to a new club. Now, we've been hearing a lot of different teams that have entered the mix that have gone out of it. Doesn't sound like Philly's there at this stage. The New York Rangers, New York Islanders, and New Jersey Devils are kind of in a battle here, all three teams have interest," Pagnotta said on the NHL Network on Sunday.

Tarasenko, 29, reportedly requested a trade out of St. Louis in July, and the Blues even left him exposed in the Seattle Kraken Expansion Draft less than two weeks ago. The Yaroslavl, Russia native has only been limited to 34 regular season games over the last two seasons due to multiple shoulder surgeries.

In 24 games during the 2020-21 season Tarasenko had 14 points (4 G, 10 A), no penalty minutes, and was a -7.
