A coach who worked in the Winnipeg Jets organization unexpectedly passed away at 44 years old.

Richard Bué, who's been the Video Coach for the Manitoba Moose in the AHL between 2016 and 2022, unexpectedly passed during the weekend. His former organization shared the following statement following the news:

"The Manitoba Moose and True North Sports + Entertainment are heartbroken by the passing of former Moose video coach Richard Bue.

Our friend will be dearly missed by all those who had the fortune of knowing him.

Our sincerest condolences go out to Richard's family, friends and teammates."

On X, many tributes to the late coach have been shared, including this one from a reporter covering the Jets and the Moose:

When Richard Bue stepped away from the Moose a few years back to be closer to family in Ottawa I wrote this:

«Bue is one of the best people I've ever met in hockey.»

Just a great guy.

We continued to chat and his last message to me was a congrats back in Feb.

Will miss him.

We extend our sincerest condolences to his friends and family as they navigate through these tough times.
