The Chicago Blackhawks may just be players this season after they went out and acquired defenseman Seth Jones, his brother Caleb, goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury and forward Tyler Johnson, and signed UFA defenseman Jake McCabe.

While the Seth Jones trade was the highest profile move, without a doubt, his subsequent signing to an 8-year, $76M deal ($9.5M AAV) was the big news of the summer for the Hawks.

On Friday, Jones put ink to paper, making the whole thing official, and sharing the photo evidence on Instagram with text that read; "Excited to sign in the Windy City for the next 8 years! @nhlblackhawks".

A familiar face and former teammate, Nashville Predarors forward Filip Forsberg was quick to take a jab at his longtime friend in a funny reply to Jones' Instagram post.

"Can't believe you got traded back to our division," Forsberg said. "Time to get exposed."

Nothing like a good friendly rivalry to serve as a bit of a precursor to what should be an exciting season for both clubs.

Jones was traded by the Predators to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for center Ryan Johansen back in January of 2016.
