Sidney Crosby Rushed to Locker Room After Vicious Hit From Luke Hughes
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby went to the team locker room tonight after suffering an apparent upper-body injury.
Crosby was attempting to make a pass just after entering the offensive zone early in the third period tonight when he left the game.
The Penguins captain was hit by two Devils players at the same time, first by Luke Hughes and then by Eric Haula just a moment later.
As he skated off, the was grabbing his left arm, which appeared to get pinched between the two players.
You can see the pain on his fac and in his body language immediately after he took contact from Haula.
Several minutes later, NHL insider Chris Johnston gave us an update on Crosby, saying that he was still in the Penguins' locker room.
This is obviously not a good sign for the team and their fans.

Penguins fans can breath a sigh of relief tonight as Sidney Crosby returned to the game a few minutes later, missing a significant portion of the third period.
Crosby remains the heart and soul of the Penguins and he is also the team's leading scorer even at the age of 37.
He has 17 goals and 57 points through 54 games this season. If the Penguins are going to make an unlikely push for the playoffs, it will be on his back.
That being said, no one will blame Crosby if the team once again fails to reach the postseason. Hopefully though, the club will find a way to give him one last chance at another cup before he retires.
