After six straight losses, Boston Bruins' Brad Marchand silenced rumors about the locker room controversy with David Pastrnak.

Following a 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Boston Bruins have held a six-game losing streak, only one of which went into overtime.

Though the dive in performance during a mid-season slump is relatively obvious, the reasons behind such a sharp decline have been anything but.

Hoping to provide some answers, during a recent edition of Jones and Keefe, Rich Keefe reported there were issues in the locker room between Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand and seasoned forward David Pastrnak.

"Apparently the locker room is a disaster, and David Pastrnak is at the center of that. David Pastrnak has told the team he doesn't want to be on a line with Brad Marchand, and it may stem from Brad Marchand calling out Pastrnak for some of his play throughout the year."

However, both Bruins forwards quickly fact-checked this, and they took their chance with the media to dispel these rumors.

Pastrnak outright denied ever stating he would not play with Marchand, sharing how much he loves playing with him.

"I've never said in my career I don't want to play with this guy to the coaching staff or management and I would never do that. I love playing with Marchy. I've been playing with him for so long, so I can't imagine going to the coach and saying that."

Brad Marchand, however, put Keefe down hard, calling him a blatant liar before explaining the Bruins's line strategy.

"I've heard what was said in the media this morning, it's unfortunate. I know reporters have a job to do, and that job is to report on the team and usually, you try to be fact-based. But when there's just blatant lies told in the media, that's when there's a problem, and the fact that this guy has a platform and he's just making stuff up is embarrassing. There's zero truth to anything he said on the radio. This is how you lose your job very quickly- the fact that he's going to have a job after this is insane, because Pasta and I are best friends. We've had an incredibly close relationship for a long time. The only reason we don't play together is so we can spread depth throughout the lineup."

Following his interview after practice in Florida, Marchand decided to give everyone, particularly Rich Keefe, one more reminder of his relationship with Pastrnak.

Marchand posted on his Instagram page several pictures of his time with his teammate both on and off the ice.

Amidts wedding photos and sports shots, the Bruins captain left only one taunting remark.

"Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep!"

The Boston Bruins face the Florida Panthers on Saturday afternoon at Amerant Bank Arena.

With Marchand and Pastrnak both working double to keep the rumors down, hopefully, they can pull their team out of their rut.
