Hall-of-Famer, six-time All-Star and Stanley Cup champion Martin St. Louis has decided to put his estate in Riverside, CT up for sale with the massive price tag of $16 million. According to an ad by the realtor, "it appears that the couple are downsizing. They recently purchased a much more modest home in a country club community in Wesley Chapel, FL, for $615,000."
The house is described as a quaint piece of paradise.
"Family room lead out to a terrace and the wraparound porch, creating a breezy indoor-outdoor feel. On the top floor, you'll find an office, bonus room, playroom, and a sleeping porch screened in with a cozy fireplace.
The estate also has a three-car garage, a private kayak area with rights to the beach, and a dock. Old Greenwich is less than 3 miles away, with plenty of boutique shops and local restaurants to choose from."
"A native of Quebec, St. Louis began his NHL career in 1998 with the Calgary Flames and was one of the smallest players in the league, at 5-foot-8," the ad states regarding the home's owner. "He played over a thousand games and scored 1,000 points (1134 regular season points, to be exact), and was named an All-Star five times (by our count, it's actually six. 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011). He retired after the 2014-15 season and was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018.
Oddly, it leaves out the part where he won a Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004.
