Brossoit re-signs with Jets

The Winnipeg Jets have agreed to sign an extension with goaltender Laurent Brossoit.

The deal is a one-year contract carrying an annual average value of $1,500,000. The deal will expire at the end of the 2020-21 season.

Brossoit was signed as a free agent by the Jets in 2018. He played 19 games and had an .895 save percentage and a 3.28 goals against average.

Brossoit was drafted 164th overall in the 2011 NHL draft to the Calgary Flames. He was traded along with Roman Horak to the Edmonton Oilers for Olivier Roy and Ladislav Smid in 2013.

He played 4 seasons with the Edmonton Oilers before being signed to the Jets. The best season of his career was the 2018-19 season, where he played 21 games and had a .925 save percentage with a 2.52 goals against average.
