The Carolina Hurricanes have run into some injury issues in recent weeks, with goaltender Frederik Andersen and forward Teuvo Teravainen being sidelined within the last ten days.

Following practice on Wednesday, Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour shared a brief update on Andersen, Teravainen, as well as Ondrej Kase, who hasn't played since the season opener on October 12th after suffering a concussion.
Brind'Amour told reporters that none of those three players are close to returning to the line-up. The biggest loss of the three is Andersen, but Antti Raanta and Pyotr Kochetkov have done a good job to hold down the fort in the meantime.
Andersen has been out since November 8th when he suffered an undisclosed injury at practice. In eight games this season, Andersen has a 5-3-0 record with a 2.72 GAA, and an .891 save percentage.
Meanwhile, Teravainen hasn't played since November 10th when he sustained an upper-body injury against the Edmonton Oilers, but the good news is that Brind'Amour said he doesn't have a concussion. In 14 games this season, the Helsinki native has seven assists, two penalty minutes and is a plus-three.
