Per Michael Russo - Wild correspondent for The Athletic - Marc-Andre Fleury sustained an upper-body injury, of which the extent is still being evaluated. Fleury started last night's 2-1 defeat to the Nashville Predators, so in all likelihood the injury happened during the game, although the veteran did finish the game.

Filip Gustavsson - acquired in the Cam Talbot trade from Ottawa - will pick up the slack in the meantime until Flower's return. As for the call-up, the exciting choice would be 2021 first-round pick Jesper Wallstedt, but it could be anyone of him, Zane McIntyre or Hunter Jones.
The Wild currently occupy the first spot outside the Western Conference playoff picture. In the offseason, they were forced to part ways with Kevin Fiala, which seriously impacted the team's output. Minnesota currently ranks T-17th in the NHL in goals-for, with 43 (2.69/game) and 9th in goals-against (2.94/game).
Fleury's put together a good-not-great season thus far, with a 2.80 GAA and a .906 SV%. Fortunately, Gustavsson has posted a 4-1 record with an identical GAA but a .914 SV%, so the Wild aren't totally screwed if Flower is out longer-term.
