Evander Kane's new girlfriend announces life-changing news
Evander Kane is one of the most controversial figures in the NHL due to his history of drama in his personal life and on the ice.
However, he has found his footing with the Edmonton Oilers after being unceremoniously dumped by the San Jose Sharks with a contract termination three years ago. Traded to San Jose in 2018 from the Buffalo Sabres, the former Winnipeg Jet and Atlanta Thrashers draft pick has certainly bounced around.
Currently injured to start the season with the Edmonton Oilers, Evander Kane has made a major personal announcement alongside girlfriend Mara Teigen - they are expecting a baby girl.
This will be Evander Kane's fourth child. His ex-wife, Anna Kane, has been a significant cause of controversy around Evander, but it appears that chapter of his life is closed.

Significant trade rumours have followed him since the moment he signed his $5.125 million annual extension with the team, but it appears he is set there for at least the foreseeable future.
With an Edmonton Oilers team featuring fresh faces in Jeff Skinner and Viktor Arvidsson, as well as Ty Emberson on the backend, Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and the organization are hoping for another deep playoff run - hopefully with a different ending. What role Kane will play on that team? That is yet to be seen.
