On Thursday, Tuukka Rask signed a PTO with the Boston Bruins' AHL affiliate in Providence but due to COVID-19 reasons, both of Providence's game scheduled for this weekend were postponed.

He was expected to start last night, but now with Providence not set to play again until January 14th, there's a chance that Rask may not play in the AHL at all and join Boston according to head coach Bruce Cassidy.

"To be honest, I'm not sure when he's going to play," Cassidy said. "So right now I can't give you the definitive plan. He's practicing and we'll try to get him in some game action wherever we can. He might have to start playing here and miss some assignments in Providence."

Rask, 34, had hip surgery to fix a torn labrum in the off-season and became an unrestricted free agent on July 28th. He began working his way back towards a potential return by rehabbing at the Boston Bruins' training facility.
