Nine players out of the lineup for the Minnesota Wild Saturday night

The Minnesota Wild's lineup for Saturday's game against the Washington Capitals will be severely depleted. The team has announced that nine players are out, including some big names. These include:

Nick Bjugstad (upper), Jonas Brodin (upper), Brandon Duhaime (COVID), Joel Eriksson Ek (upper), Alex Goligoski (COVID), Jordan Greenway (COVID), Kirill Kaprizov (upper), Jared Spurgeon (lower) and Cam Talbot (lower).

The Wild have recalled forwards Victor Rask and Kyle Rau, and defenseman Dakota Mermis from the taxi squad. Eriksson Ek and Kaprizov have moved to Injured Reserve and will be eligible to return as soon as the Wild's next game on Jan 14.

The Caps have four names in the injured list right now in T.J. Oshie (illness), Vitek Vanecek, Anthony Mantha (upper) and Nick Backstrom (illness).
