Avalanche acquire Kuemper from Coyotes
After the Avalanche missed out on signing Philipp Grubauer, they went and acquired a replacement in the form of Darcy Kuemper from the Arizona Coyotes.
The Avalanche had to give up defenseman Conor Timmins and a first round pick in order to acquire the veteran goaltender from Arizona.

Update: the move also included a conditional pick. Arizona will retain $1 million of Kuemper's cap hit.
Kuemper had a bit of a down season by his standards, but still went 10-11-3 on a struggling Coyotes team, while also posting a .907 SV% along with a 2.56 GAA in 27 games.
The 31-year-old has struggled with some injuries in the past including last season, but if he can stay healthy, he should be a terrific replacement for Grubauer.'>
