The Edmonton Oilers announced on Wednesday that they've signed former Maple Leafs forward Zach Hyman to a seven-year contract worth $38.5 million ($5.5 million AAV).

Hyman, 29, has spent his entire six-year NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs after being traded to them from Florida in 2015. In 43 games this season, Hyman had 33 points (15 G, 18 A), 28 penalty minutes, and was a +19.

The Toronto, Ontario native will more than likely slot in on the Oilers first line with Connor McDavid and Jesse Puljujarvi. He'll also likely play on Edmonton's first penalty kill unit, and may find himself getting some powerplay minutes too.
