The Chicago Blackhawks have been very busy in the days leading up to the opening of free agency, making significant additions to the team through trades. Now, the team has made a significant signing, adding blueliner Jake McCabe.

McCabe has signed a four-year deal with the Blackhawks that carries an annual cap hit of $4 million. The 27-year-old has spent his entire NHL career so far with the Buffalo Sabres after being drafted in the second round in 2012.

Meanwhile, Chicago also added Jujhar Khaira on a two-year deal with an AAV of $975,000.

Chicago added Seth Jones from Columbus before free agency opened, and then signed him to an eight year extension. They also got his brother Caleb Jones in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers for Duncan Keith. The team added forward Tyler Johnson from the Tampa Bay Lightning, and there's also Marc-Andre Fleury, who was traded to the Blackhawks Tuesday. No word yet on whether he'll report to the team.
