Bruins sign Erik Haula and Tomas Nosek; Kings add Alexander Edler

According to Pierre LeBrun of TSN, The Boston Bruins have signed forward Erik Haula to a two-year contract worth $4.75 million ($2.375 million AAV). Haula will make $2.25 million in the first year of the contract, and $2.5 million in the second year.

The Pori, Finland native spent the 2020-21 season with the Nashville Predators. In 51 games during the regular season, Haula had 21 points (9 G, 12 A), 14 penalty minutes, and was a +4.

Boston has also signed forward Tomas Nosek to a two-year contract worth $3.5 million ($1.75 million AAV) according to Darren Dreger of TSN. Nosek has played with the Vegas Golden Knights for the last four seasons. In 38 games this season, he had 18 points (8 G, 10 A), 10 penalty minutes, and was a +7.

TSN's Pierre LeBrun is also reporting that the Los Angeles Kings have signed defenceman Alexander Edler to a one-year contract worth $3.5 million.

Edler, 35, has played his entire 15 year NHL career with the Vancouver Canucks after being drafted by them in 2004. In 925 career games, Edler is the Canucks all-time leader in games played, points, goals, and assists by a defenceman. The Ostersund, Sweden native had 409 points (99 G, 310 A) with Vancouver.
