A reporter inappropriately asked Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes a question during media day at Super Bowl week that was deemed unacceptable.
Some who were credentialled during media week for Super Bowl LIX chose not to make a big deal about it, while others attempted everything they could to get attention.
A content creator at Monday's press conference asked a question of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes regarding having a "favorite" referee, a not-so-subtle dig at conspiracy theories that the NFL rigs games in the Chiefs' favor.
Mahomes could have gotten his feathers ruffled but remained composed and replied tactfully.

And, no, the same content creator did not let it drop, with a follow-up question regarding whether Mahomes and his "favorite" referee have a "pen pal" arrangement, in that Mahomes will write an annual Christmas letter to a referee whom he likes best out of everyone else.

The fan base, naturally, became indignant with the tone of inquiry. Some even demand that the league deny this individual access to future Super Bowl press gatherings.
Many individuals in today's world crave sensation and attention, but not at the expense of a player.
The fan base may have its opinion about Mahomes and the Chiefs, but something like this has to have a level of decorum. Super Bowl LIX will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
