Insider Elliotte Friedman provides a major update on the conflict between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller

Tonight a new report from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed that the conflict between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller has continued to escalate.

Over the last month, the Vancouver Cnaucks have been thrust into controversy as star forwards J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson have been locked in a feud.

According to multiple reports, Miller and Pettersson have not gotten along for years but many had assumed their differences had been worked out years ago.

With that not being the case rumblings have come out over the last month regarding a potential trade involving either Miller or Pettersson.

Tonight Elliotte Friedman who had shut down trade rumors when this situation first began gave an update and seemed to change his tune a little bit on a potential trade.

In a new segment, Elliotte Friedman spoke about the lack of a resolution between Pettersson and Miller that seemed like it was coming in the early stages of this saga.

With no solution, Friedman confirmed that the Canucks are exploring a potential trade to resolve the issues.

Friedman admits that the Canucks still prefer not to trade either player but it might not be avoidable at this point.

According to Friedman's sources, it seems the conflict is taking a major toll on the Canucks organization from the players all the way up to the front office.

With the NHL Trade Deadline approaching this situation will be the one to watch as the Canucks will have a major decision to make that could impact the present and future of their franchise.
