J.T. Miller seems to be the guy more likely to move over Elias Pettersson from the Vancouver Canucks, and the New York Rangers are interested.

Per Elliotte Friedman, the Rangers want JT Miller from the Canucks, and will go to great lengths to achieve such.

Miller has been a star since joining the Canucks, but has had a reported rift with teammate Elias Pettersson and ultimately left the team for a few weeks.

Here were Friedman's comments:

«I do think the Rangers are interested, but I don't know how easy that match is going to be,» Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts Podcast.

«If Vancouver wanted to do Zibanejad and again Zibanejad has a no-move clause too, so he'd have to want to do it, I think that could be done already. I'm not banking on that.

«The guy I could see Vancouver really liking is Schneider, but I'm not convinced at all the Ranger would want to do that, as a matter of fact, I'm convinced they wouldn't just because I think they want to keep Schneider.»

If the Canucks were interested in Mika Zibanejad, who is having a disastrous season on his massive $8.5 million annual contract (that is almost impossible to buy out as well), the deal would likely already be done.

Friedman suggests Braden Schneider as a possible target for the Canucks, but he may not be on the table.

Do you think JT Miller will be traded this season, or will the teammates sort out their differences?
