Boston Bruins Reportedly Nearing Closer to Trade of Key Forward Ahead of the NHL Roster Freeze
According to a new report, the Boston Bruins could be nearing closer to trading one of their key forwards ahead of the NHL roster freeze.
Between December 19th and 28th, NHL teams won't be able to make roster moves, during the annual roster freeze during the holidays.
Every year, we often see many deals happening in the days leading to the freeze, with teams slowly preparing for the official trade deadline on March 7th.
Last night, the insider Elliotte Friedman spoke out about what fans can expect before the trade freeze, set to start next Wednesday.
He mentioned that one of the names that could end up changing teams before Christmas is Trent Frederic of the Boston Bruins.

Frederic has been involved in plenty of rumors since the season started due to his contractual situation and the Bruins' struggles.
He's been having a key role with the Bruins this season despite playing mainly in the bottom six.
He managed to score five goals and six assists in 32 games while bringing a lot of physicality. In fact, that's the most attractive part of his game.

According to Friedman, the Bruins are getting calls about him. There's no doubt he can help a team in the playoffs. If he ends up being traded, the Bruins could get a very interesting return.
Frederic, 26, played 332 NHL games with the Bruins in his career. He tallies 105 points, including 52 goals, across his seven years in the organization that drafted him 29th overall in 2016.
