Aaron Rodgers shared some personal information with fans and the media, as he discussed issues surrounding emotional intelligence in his household.

Aaron Rodgers is opening up about how his father's emotional repression impacted his own perception of emotions

In an exclusive snippet from the forthcoming Netflix documentary 'Aaron Rodgers: Enigma', premiering December 17, the 41-year-old NFL star reveals that he felt emotionally "stunted" as a result of his father's lack of outward emotion.

"There wasn't space for emotion," the quarterback recalls of his home growing up. "So, I definitely had some stunted emotional intelligence."

In one scene, Rodgers is participating in an ayahuasca ceremony, donning a white tank top and sweatpants as rituals are performed around him.

He speaks to how ayahuasca helps him to navigate his sense of the balance between the divine masculine and the divine feminine; it's actually embracing vulnerability and emotional openness that defines a well-rounded man.

"I think part of the real joy in this work, is, there is such a feminine spirit to ayahuasca," he says, suggesting that the psychedelic drug allows users to "model a new way of thinking about masculinity, or what it means to be a man."

The three-part documentary covers Rodgers' public controversies, including his tumultuous family relationships and the many headline-making moments in his career.

It also touches on his 2023 season-ending Achilles injury, with reports speculating if he should retire. 'Aaron Rodgers: Enigma', directed by Gotham Chopra and Liam Hughes, hits Netflix on December 17.
