The Boston Bruins have dealt with some injuries this season, and now they've officially waived 24-year old Alec Regula, who has been sidelined all season long.

This season hasn't been the perfect one thus far for the Boston Bruins, and with plenty of changes thus far, there's no doubting that things will continue to be interesting all year long.

Now, they've made yet another intriguing move, as the team have officially waived talented defenseman Alec Regula, who has been sidelined for the entirety of the season thus far with an injury.

The report first came from Elliotte Friedman, with the team seemingly believing that Regula will pass through waivers with the hopes that he can return to the big club when he gets 100% healthy.

The 24-year old joined the Bruins a year ago, playing in 55 games for the Providence Bruins in the AHL, posting 4 goals and 26 points in that time, proving that he's certainly capable of producing at the professional level.

However, he is yet to do it at the NHL level, as he has tallied just 1 goal in 22 games played for the Chicago Blackhawks between 2020 and 2023, but after posting 60 points in 55 games in his final OHL season in London, he's clearly got the offensive talent.

Standing at 6-foot-4, Regula has plenty of talent and the physical tools to go along with it, so while Boston are confident he could pass through waivers, there should be plenty of teams out there looking at depth defenseman that look to make a move.

With great talent and size, Regula will no doubt draw plenty of attention on waivers, so for now we will wait and see whether or not that translates to a claim or if Boston will get him healthy and give him a look at the NHL this season.
