Capfriendly tweeted out on Tuesday that a second buyout window will be available for teams that need it.

The rules to the second buyout are that the player must have a salary of greater than $4,000,000 per year and the player must have been a reserve at the Trade Deadline.

This announcement came out after Ottawa settles their arbitration deal with Christian Jaros who was signed to a 1-year, 2-way contract that would pay him $750,000 in the NHL, and $250,000 in the AHL.

Multiple teams bought out players with "bad" contracts during the first buyout. These players include Bobby Ryan who was bought out by the Senators, Jack Johnson who was bought out by the Pittsburgh Penguins and Justin Abdelkader who was bought out by the Detroit Red Wings.
