Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin and goaltender Ben Bishop both underwent surgeries to repair injuries suffered during last season.

Tyler Seguin played through his nagging injuries during the 2020 postseason, but the Stars still came up just short, losing to the Lightning in 6 games in the Stanley Cup Finals. Seguin underwent a right hip arthroscopy and labral repair on November 2, 2020. He is expected to be out approximately 5 months.

Seguin had 50 points (17 goals, 33 assists) in 69 games during the regular season and 13 points (2 goals, 11 assists) in 26 games during the postseason.

Ben Bishop underwent right knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus on October 21, 2020. He is also expected to be out for approximately 5 months in order to rehab and recover appropriately.

Bishop went 21-16-4 with a 2.50 GAA and .920 SV% during the regular season. He struggled in his 3 games during the playoffs going 1-2-0 with a 5.43 GAA and .844 SV%, although his injuries were likely to blame for his lackluster play.

Dallas are confident in having their key players back at some point during the 2020-21 season with hopes of returning to the playoffs to make another deep run.
