Trade rumours have been swirling about Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos ever since his team managed to win the Stanley Cup mostly without him. Due to injury, Stamkos played just 2:47 in the 2020 playoffs, which was during game three of the final against the Dallas Stars. The Lightning are essentially in cap hell, and trading Stamkos's $8.5 million per season would sure go a long way in freeing up money to sign restricted free agents. However, appearing on Real Kipper with Nick Kypreos, Stamkos addressed all of the talks and it doesn't appear that he's interested in being moved.

"I have obviously a no move clause,"said Stamkos. "When I signed that contract in Tampa, to be here, that was important for me to get because you never know what is going to happen down the line. I have every intention to play out that contract here in Tampa. We love it here, my family loves it here, we have a great setup, the city has been amazing to us over the years and like I said I want to win again. I definitely don't see myself going anywhere."

While there's always a possibility that things could change, as it stands right now it appears Stamkos is happy and has no intention of leaving Tampa Bay.

Stamkos, 30, has four seasons left on his current contract. In 803 regular season games, he has 832 points (422 goals, 410 assists).
