The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced on Friday that they have come to terms with newly-acquired RFA Joey Anderson on a three-year pact, carrying an AAV of $750,000.

The first two seasons of Anderson's new deal will be a two-way contract, meaning he can move freely between the NHL and the AHL without being required to clear waivers, which is of great benefit to the Leafs, who are planning on carrying a 20 or 21-man roster for the majority of this season, relying on frequent call ups and demotions to accumulate cap space over the course of the season.

The 22-year-old winger was brought over from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Andreas Johnsson earlier this offseason, and was the final roster piece in need of a contract prior to this afternoon's deal.

Anderson split time between the AHL and the NHL last season, registering 4 goals and 6 points in 18 games with New Jersey, and 15 goals and 34 points in 44 games with Binghamton.

The former captain for the 2018 US World Junior Champioship squad was the Devils' third round selection in 2016 (73rd overall).
