Tuesday night marks the first matchup between the Detroit Red Wings and Dallas Stars where both Jamie Benn and Dylan Larkin will be in the lineup since Benn ended Larkin's season early in 2020-21. On April 22nd, Benn and Larkin lined up for a faceoff, which was won by Larkin. Benn would then come down hard on the back of Larkin's neck with a crosscheck, knocking him out of the game and the rest of the season. Larkin would end up in a neck brace for four weeks and rehabbing the painful injury throughout the summer. Check it out:

It sure seemed like an intentional, dirty play. Benn received no penalty, suspension or fine for it. Larkin later made it clear he wasn't happy about the play or the injury. Asked Tuesday whether he expected anything from Larkin in that night's game, here was Benn's response:

Benn: "No. Why?"

Reporter: "He was pretty upset last year after his injury."

Benn: "We'll see."

At six-foot-two and 210 lbs, Benn has one inch and a little over 10 lbs on Larkin, so it certainly wouldn't be a complete mismatch if the two went toe-to-toe. It'll be interesting to see what, if anything happens.
