The Montreal Canadiens suffered their seventh loss of the season on Saturday afternoon against the Los Angeles Kings.

Following the game, the team delayed their media availability to hold an internal meeting with general manager Marc Bergevin. It's unclear as to what was said during the meeting, but it's a safe bet that it wasn't anything positive.

What we do know is that head coach Dominique Ducharme did not speak to the players in the meeting, but said this afterwards to reporters.

"I cannot pick them up every two days."

General manager Marc Bergevin spoke with reporters on October 21st to say that he's not going to panic and make a trade just for the sake of making a trade. He added in that press conference that he believes that his team was capable of breaking through their early season slump. But that wasn't the case as Bergevin addressed his team following Saturday's game.

Tomorrow afternoon's tilt against the Anaheim Ducks is a big one, and it's crazy to even think that this early in the season. Sunday's game will be Montreal's tenth of the season, and after that, they'll have 72 remaining.

It's probably still a bit too early to hit the panic button, but that day could come very soon.
