Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis lashed out at a reporter today after he was asked a question he did not like.

The Montreal Canadiens have been struggling this season although they have somewhat turned things around recently.

The team is 5-5-0 over their last ten games which is pretty good by their standards.

Unfortunately though, head coach Martin St. Louis has been forced to rely on a single netminder in Sam Montembeault as his other options have proven to not be good enough.

Ahead of tonight's game against the Red Wings, the coach was asked if he thought backup netminder Kaden Primeau could still play in the NHL and his answer was rather revealing.

Going back to goaltenders, do you still have confidence in Cayden (Primeau) to play games for you?»

«I'm focusing on coaching the game

Tabar**k»

As he was walking away from the reporters after the final question he let one word slip out that fans noticed.

It was a popular French-Canadian curse word that Canadiens fans should be well aware of.

While St. Louis may not have liked the question, it was asked for a good reason.

Primeau has been awful this season. He has appeared in 11 games, but only started 7 of them, with four relief appearances.

He has a 2-3-1 record, an abysmal 4.70 goals-against-average, and an equally poor .836 save percentage.

Those numbers would be rather poor even by 80s standards, let alone today's standards.

In fact, Primeau has been so bad that he was pulled in his last appearance despite coming in to relieve Sam Montembeault.

He proceeded to give up 3 goals on 7 shots over the course of 11 minutes of ice time and Montembeault was back out there to play the 3rd period.

That was on December 12th. He has not gotten a minute of ice time since.
