Per The Athletic's Michael Russo, the Boston Bruins have signed forward Nick Foligno to a two-year deal with an average annual value of just under $4 million.

Foligno, 33, had spent the past nine seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs at this years deadline. Unfortunately, the trade really didn't pan out for the Leafs as Foligno struggled to find a groove in Toronto, posting just four assists in seven regular season games and just one assist in four playoff contests.

Despite his struggles in Toronto, Foligno has a well earned reputation of being a very solid two-way forward who should be very beneficial to the Bruins, who should once again be in the running for a Stanley Cup this upcoming season. Foligno has played in a total of 957 games, registering 203 goals and 486 points.
