Seattle Kraken forward Daniel Sprong has spoken his mind after the team demoted him to the American Hockey League.

Many around the hockey world were surprised when the Seattle kraken placed Sprong on waivers last week.

After all, Sprong is a proven player at the NHL level, and a pretty decent one at that.

He has hit the 20-goal mark once in his career and has come close a couple other times.

However, some troubling news about Sprong has recently been revealed that may be playing into the Kraken's decision to keep him in the AHL

INDYCAR driver Zach Claman DeMelo has accussed Sprong of ass***t, obviosuly a fairly serious allegation.

We will need a proper investigation before we can confirm or deny this claim, but it does not look great for the 27-year-old.

That being said, he is focused on working his way back into the NHL. After his first game with the Firebirds, he talked about adjusting to the AHL.

"I was too many steps ahead, expecting plays to be a little quicker. I had to slow it down mentally and get on that speed and after that it was fine."

He went on to say that he feels like he 'doesn't belong here,' referring to the AHL.

Sprong has 2 goals and 5 points through 19 games at the NHL level this season.

"I want to prove that I don't belong here. I think my last 2 years in the NHL kind of speaks for itself."

In his career, Sprong has appeared in 363 regular-season NHL games, recording 87 goals and 77 assists for 164 points.

One odd thing about him though is that he has never been able to stick with one team.

He's already played for six different NHL clubs at the young age of 27, and has never reached even 100 games played with any of them.

Perhaps this is because of off-ice issues. If it is true that he ass***ted Zach DeMelo, that could explain a lot.
