Danault, 28, played a big role in helping the Canadiens get to the Stanley Cup Final. In 53 games this season, he recorded 24 points (5 G, 19 A), 24 penalty minutes, and was a +9.
The Victoriaville, Quebec native is easily one of the best defensive forwards in the NHL and he proved that throughout the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He earned this contract given his defensive play the last few seasons, and a Selke Trophy is more than likely on the horizon for Danault.
