The Vancouver Canucks announced on Tuesday that they've signed recently acquired forward Conor Garland to a five-year deal worth $24.8 million ($4.95 million AAV).

Garland, 25, was acquired from the Coyotes in a massive deal over the weekend that saw him and Oliver Ekman-Larsson land in Vancouver while Loui Eriksson, Antoine Roussel, Jay Beagle and a few draft picks were shipped off to Arizona.

"We're pleased to have reached a long-term deal with Conor today," said Benning. "He's a skilled young player, who plays hard, produces offensively and will complement our top-six forward group."

The Scituate, Massachusetts native had a strong 2020-21 campaign with the Coyotes. In 49 games this season, Garland tied his career high in points with 39 (12 G, 27 A), added 26 penalty minutes, and was a -3.
