Noah Steen, a draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning, is speaking out on the dangers for players after running face-first into a TV camera during a game.

It was a rough night for Noah Steen, a 20-year-old player from Norway who was drafted in the 7th round, 199th overall, by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the most recent NHL entry draft.

Noah Steen, who plays for Orebro HK of the SHL in Sweden, went hard into a TV camera during a game, leaving him with facial injuries.

It happened as Steen was involved in a puck battle with an opponent along the boards.

Steen left the game but managed to return after being treated by team doctors. Expressen reports that one of his eyelids was torn in the collision with the camera.

Steen is now questioning the need for TV cameras so close to hockey players during play.

"I don't know... it's probably for good TV, but it's dangerous for us players. Luckily, nothing serious happened, but I was scared. It was close to my eye, so it could definitely have been that I wouldn't have been able to play hockey anymore after a hit like that. I'm just grateful that I'm ok."

Steen said he'll likely be more careful around the benches when the camera is there now, but added there isn't much players can do about it unless the cameras are moved.

The winger has 3 goals and 1 assist in four games with Orebro HK this season.
