The Boston Bruins are seemingly skating on thin legal ice because a recent TikTok video sent up a storm where country star Zach Bryan lashed out strongly.
The team posted a clip featuring players and personnel belting out Morgan Wallen's smash hit "Last Night," but the seemingly playful moment has now escalated into a serious legal battle.
The video apparently enraged Bryan, who served the Bruins with a cease-and-desist letter, claiming their actions were a direct shot at him amidst ongoing drama surrounding his personal life.
For anyone who's unaware, it all started with Bryan's ex-girlfriend, Brianna "Chickenfry", a personality for Barstool Sports, her real name being Brianna LaPaglia.
On her 'BFFs' podcast cohosted with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, Brianna broke down the whirlwind romance between her and Bryan, including some raising-eyebrows tales, like one time when Zach allegedly lost his temper because she merely hummed a song by Morgan Wallen.
Given how deeply Portnoy and Brianna are rooted in the Boston area, it is no surprise that the Bruins weighed in with their cheeky TikTok.
But what felt like a harmless show of hometown solidarity has now spiraled into a potential courtroom showdown.
Bryan has remained relatively tight-lipped over the last year or so, as the avalanche of online drama has rolled in, including a diss track titled "Smaller Man" featuring Portnoy and Richards. That Cease and Desist, though, suggests he's had enough of being the punchline.
