The Miami Dolphins faced the Houston Texans on Sunday, and while it was an entertaining game, a scary situation unfolded as Grant DuBose was carted off the field.

The Miami Dolphins are unfortunately no stranger to devastating injuries in recent years, and on Sunday against the Houston Texans, they experienced yet another one in a chilling moment.

In the third quarter, QB Tua Tagovailoa threw one over the middle to receiver Grant DuBose, who was hit by safety Caleb Bullock, and immediately it was easy to tell that something was wrong.

DuBose was then carted off the field while the entire stadium in Houston left in stunned silence, while his team were huddled together to comfort each other in a tough situation.

The 23-year old former seventh-round draft pick was quickly ruled out of the game, although the Dolphins official social media gave a great update on his condition, revealing that he was in stable condition as he headed towards the hospital.

Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter then gave a smaller update on his status, revealing that while in stable condition, he will not travel back with the team to Miami, as he will stay in Houston as he undergoes further evaluation.

After the game, Texans QB CJ Stroud was quick to send his thoughts and prayers to DuBose, showing that he has the support of the NFL world during this tough time.

While a flag was thrown on the play, this is unfortunately the type of thing that will happen from time to time in such a brutal, violent sport, but we along with the rest of the football world send our well wishes to DuBose and hope that whatever he's suffering from, it's not as bad as it looked on the field.
