The Nashville Predators have had a tough time when it comes to injuries since March 2nd. On Tuesday they announced that defenceman Ryan Ellis, and forward Luke Kunin had been placed on injured reserve. Ellis is out four to six weeks with an upper-body injury, while Kunin is out two to four weeks with a lower-body injury. To make matters worse, goaltender Juuse Saros was hurt during Tuesday night's game against Carolina. Saros is currently listed day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Another player has been added to injured reserve, as the Predators announced that forward Matt Duchene will be out three to five weeks with a lower-body injury. Duchene left Thursday's game against the Florida Panthers during the third period and did not return.

The Haliburton, Ontario native has 8 points (3 G, 5 A), 4 penalty minutes, and is a -11 in 23 games this season.

Nashville currently sits sixth in the Discover Central division with a record of 10-13-0 through 23 games. The Predators are eleven points behind Chicago for the final playoff spot, and with the trade deadline just over four weeks away, the team will have plenty of tough decisions to make.

Mattias Ekholm, Filip Forsberg, and Mikael Granlund have been reported to be moved by April 12's deadline. On February 20th's edition of Saturday Headlines, Eillotte Friedman said that the Predators only have three untouchables going into the trade deadline. Those three untouchables are Roman Josi, Ryan Ellis, and Pekka Rinne.

The Predators will look to snap their two-game losing streak when they take on the Florida Panthers on Saturday at 2pm ET.
