Elliot Desnoyers, a fifth-round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2020, is not messing around in his first season with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The 18-year-old has 11 goals and nine assists for 20 points in just 12 games so far this season. While all of his goals have been good, the one he scored Sunday took it to a whole different level.

With just under 15 minutes left in left on the 2nd period, Desnoyers poked the puck away from his opponent while he was attempting to kill a penalty. The move caused a 2-on-0 breakaway and, with his teammate trailing just behind him, Desnoyers faked the back pass, completely fooling the goalie. Check it out:

Not bad at all for a guy overlooked until the fifth round. It will be interesting to see if Desnoyers can keep up his recent streak. In 61 games with the Moncton Wildcats last season, he managed 35 points. He's on pace to destroy that career high at the moment.
