Philadelphia Flyers general manager, Chuck Fletcher, announced on Monday that the team has agreed to a two-year contract extension with defenceman Robert Hagg. The deal will pay Hagg $1.6 million per season.

Hagg, 25, has played the last three seasons with the Flyers. This past season saw him put up three goals and 10 assists in 49 games, along with a plus/minus of +13. He also played in 12 games during the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs, where he chipped in with three assists. To this point in his career, he has 42 points in 202 regular season games.

Hagg has been a part of the Flyers organization since he was drafted in the 2nd round (41 overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. While he likely won't ever put up big numbers offensively, he has become a solid third pairing defenceman.
