At 38 years old, Joe Pavelski is defying any and all expectations for a player of his age.

Tonight's first game in round two against the Seattle Kraken is yet another example, as he's managed to pot not one, not two, not three, but FOUR goals for the Dallas Stars. Even more impressively, he's scored all of the team's goals so far tonight after missing five games whilst in concussion protocol from a hit against Matt Dumba in the Minnesota Wild series.

Pavelski Gets a Hat Trick and Change

Starting things off was this slick wrister scored less than two and a half minutes after puck drop to open the scoring:
Followed by a go-ahead goal in the back half of the first - and a world-class tip from a Thomas Harley shot, to boot:
Then bringing the Stars within one goal halfway through the third, all while sealing the hatty with a tap-in:
And netting a highlight-reel tip with his fourth goal to tie things up for Dallas:
Pavelski's also managed to make a bit of history with his lights-out performance tonight. According to Eric Engels, he's now become the oldest NHLer to ever score four goals in a game (38 years, 296 days). The previous record holder was Johnny Bucyk (38 years, 238 days) with Martin St. Louis right behind (38 years, 214 days).
Clearly, age is just a number to Pavs!
